There’s a decidedly autumnal chill in the air and my mum’s Parisian cookbooks, full of copious excuses for red wine stews and endless mouth-watering recipes, promise a tantalising distraction from the cold.
For now though, it’s time for another blog post and some exciting film related news. Whoops!, the indie feature I worked on during 2012, and latest offering from York-based filmmaking duo MilesTone films, has been selected for Raindance 2013. However, not only does it now bear the much coveted laurels, but it also recently emerged that the film had made the Raindance Top Ten Picks of 2013. For those who worked so hard on the film, it’s a well deserved reward for the long hours, dedication, enthusiasm and 2am bouts of madness involving a large plastic duck, which have driven the project to it’s current success. I’m so proud to have been a part of it and know how much it means to those involved to be recognised.
A couple of nights ago saw the cast and crew premiere held amid intense excitement. I cannot wait to see how the London screenings go!
Whoops! will be screened on Saturday 28th September 2013 at the VUE Apollo Cinema, Piccadilly Circus, London.
