So it’s coming to the end of my second week in MediaCity and what a couple of weeks it’s been.

Within my first few days I was lucky enough to get to look round the new BBC offices. Not only is the building and technology phenomenal and exciting, but the sense of integration and collaboration is equally impressive. Just looking round at the sheer proximity of creative departments, it’s obvious that talent and ideas can interconnect far more freely in their new location, with the capacity to produce a re-energised sense of purpose and output, something which I believe will hugely benefit programming and audiences.

As for me, there’s a few exciting projects on the horizon. First up, a high profile music video shoot directed by Pete Travis (Dredd), for which I’m acting as Production Co-ordinator and DIT. Then I’m off to Sumners for a day to talk to their chief colourist. And that’s just for starters.
